About Us

Squaring Circles was founded in 2019 and was built on my passion for mediation, negotiation and resolving disputes out of court. Having practised as a dispute resolution solicitor for 12 years in two of the UK’s most successful premium law firms, and then becoming an accredited mediator in 2015, I passionately believed mediation and negotiation offered a better way to resolve disputes. 

In May 2020 we lauched our Online Dispute Resolution service which revolutionises the way disputes are managed and resolved. We are the first business in Scotland to bring together a panel of dispute resolvers comprising mediators and arbitrators, specifically designed online dispute resolution schemes and easy to use market leading purpose-built ODR technology. 

In October 2020 we won the UK wide National Mediation Award Newcomer of the Year, and since our formation we have grown from one mediator to a panel of seven highly regarded dispute resolvers. 

Conflict doesn’t need to tear businesses and relationships apart. Unlike litigation and our civil justice system, mediation, negotiation and online dispute resolution offer an efficient, convenient and cost effective way to resolve differences and disputes. Is it estimated that around 17,000 commercial and civil disputes are resolved through mediation in the UK every year. It is a privilege to play a part in that.
